Res-Q 1250 is available as capsules or liquid.

Res-Q 1250 is available as capsules or liquid.

Res-Q 1250, an omega-3 supplement, is a direct supply of the EPA and DHA that you need for good health and wellness. Our diets tend to be very deficient in the essential fatty acids: EPA and DHA. Therefore, the brain is starved for EPA and DHA, the building blocks of brain material.

Omega-3 fatty acids are one of the most effective clinically studied ingredients. These active components of omega-3 promote the reduction of triglycerides, increase circulation, encourage the reduction of inflammation, and aid in the repair of new cells and tissues. Our customers report great success maintaining their triglycerides.

We also have a variety of other heart healthy products. To acquire additional information regarding all of our products please contact a Res-Q Consultant at 1-800-262-5483.

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Res-Q Resveratrol We know that resveratrol has been shown in studies to dramatically increase the lifespan, maintain health, promote good cardiovascular function, and slow aging.

Now, there is one more reason to take resveratrol.  Research shows that resveratrol is safe for diabetics.  Recent research on resveratrol reveals that it may help the normal function of blood sugar metabolism, helping blood sugar to get into the cells.

Healthy Arteries: it is more than just cholesterol– the role of inflammation in arterial health

Research shows us that anyone maintaining cholesterol levels already within a normal range, can improve their cardiovascular health by adding Res-Q 1250, our pure and potent source of the omega-3 fatty acids to their cholesterol regimen and possibly add years to their life.

To help maintain healthy arteries, research suggests that maintaining a healthy inflammation level, is just as important as maintaining a healthy cholesterol level, especially in high risk populations and for those taking statin medications.

Omega-3 Intake Is Benefical During Pregnancy!

Omega-3 fatty acids are a “brain power boost.”1

Researchers in Detroit, Michigan, conducted a study to learn more about the role of DHA, a good fat, an omega-3 fatty acid, on growth and development.

In a new study, the DHA content in umbilical-cord blood , an omega-3 fatty acid was linked to better “brain and eye development at the ages of 6 months and 11 months”1

Newborn cord blood containing higher levels of DHA at birth was linked to better performance on tests for visual acuity and memory at 6 months of age, and cognitive and motor development at 11 months.

Since pregnant women are advised to avoid large fish like swordfish and shark due to mercury levels, a safe way to ensure that you are getting DHA while pregnant is to take a highly purified form of fish oil that has been molecularly distilled to ensure that the final product does not contain harmful levels of mercury that are found in the fish. This way, beneficial omega-3 fatty acids like DHA can be obtained without risk of mercury. (more…)

New Study shows that Green tea helps burn fat

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008
Green Tea

Green Tea

In March, 2008, a placebo-controlled study examining the effects of green tea on exercise, was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.  Fat was burned at a faster rate for those who took the Green tea supplement. The study also showed that green tea can play a role in insulin function and blood sugar tolerance, and increase the rate of fat oxidation.

Green tea promotes fat burning both at rest and during exercise.   According to studies on green tea, weight loss can be achieved by increasing energy expenditure, which can be achieved by adding exercise and by taking Green tea. These findings suggest that green tea can help you burn more fat than exercise alone, and burn more fat faster during exercise. Even if you are not exercising, Green tea has also been shown to “promote fat oxidation in humans at rest.” (more…)

People taking statins also need CoQ10

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Res-Q CellPower It is important to take a CoQ10 supplement with a statin, a specific type of cholesterol lowering pharmaceutical medication that inhibits cholesterol production in the liver via HMG-CoA Reductase.  Statin medications have been shown to lower CoQ10 levels. Therefore, it would be wise to take a CoQ10 supplement when taking a statin.

Res-Q CellPower contains CoQ10 and other heart healthy antioxidants. Since CoQ10 is essential for healthy muscles, CoQ10 may reduce muscle related side effects from the medications. CoQ10 also helps heart function, which is also important for maintaining cardiovascular health.  Heart health is about more than just cholesterol. Even if your cholesterol is lowered, supplementing with CoQ10 helps inhibit the oxidation of cholesterol to help maintain healthy arteries.

Did you know…

Lovastatin, a popular drug medication, has been shown to deplete CoQ10 in rats and in humans.

Treatment with Pravachol and Zocor, statin drug medications, lowered blood levels of CoQ10 in humans. Although cholesterol was lowered, CoQ10 was also lowered.

CoQ10 has “antioxidative properties” and promotes celluar energy.

Inhibiting the “biosynthesis” of cholesterol can also inhibit the “biosynthesis” of CoQ10. Therefore, it would be wise to supplement with CoQ10 when taking anything that inhibits the enzyme involved in the production of cholesterol in the liver, such as a statin medication.

Res-Q CellPower is recommended for anyone taking a statin medication.

What is Res-Q HDL+?

Res-Q HDL+ (No-Flush Niacin)

Res-Q HDL+

Res-Q HDL+ is formulated to include both niacin and inositol. Niacin and inositol are members of the B Vitamin family. This compound provides safe, effective results without the typical side effects associated with other types of niacin.

Studies on inositol nicotinate indicate no adverse reactions even at doses higher than 1,000mg. This unique form of Niacin is metabolized differently than other forms of Niacin. Other forms of Niacin are associated with many side effects. This is why Res-Q HDL+, No-Flush Niacin, is the best choice for our customers.

Niacin is so good for heart health, that we suggest taking Res-Q HDL+, along with Res-Q LDL-x2 with Niacin, Res-Q 1250, and Res-Q CellPower for a more complete approach to maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system. Taking additional niacin enhances cardiovascular health benefits.  (more…)

Res-Q Resveratrol

Res-Q Resveratrol

Help maintain a healthy cardiovascular system and encourage a longer life span by supplementing with resveratrol.

Resveratrol, found in the skin of red grapes, and an active ingredient in red wine, has multiple well known benefits for cardiovascular health and helps promote a longer life span.

Scientists have identified, isolated, and studied a natural compound in red wine called resveratrol. Resveratrol is responsible for the following cardiovascular health benefits: circulation, balanced inflammatory response, and blood vessel health.

However, these health benefits indentified in clinical studies were produced from amounts of resveratrol that far exceed the amount found in naturally in red wine. Therefore, these benefits can be expected by taking resveratrol as a supplement form that delivers a potency level that can not be obtained from drinking red wine.
