Res-Q 1250 is available as capsules or liquid.
Is it the cholesterol number?
A recent review of a multitude of clinical studies conducted on omega-3 reported that omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish oils called EPA and DHA can change cholesterol into subtypes of cholesterol that are less as likely to stick to your arteries.
Omega-3s can change LDL cholesterol.
Our family of Res-Q customers are simply ecstatic about their results when their doctors looked at their arteries.
Res-Q 1250, our omega-3 supplement, is designed to encourage arterial health and elasticity, the real reason that we watch our cholesterol in the first place. (more…)

Res-Q LDL-x2 is also available without niacin.
Over 90 scientific abstracts on policosanol reveal the safety and health benefits of policosanol. In fact, policosanol may be used with omega-3 supplements made from fish oils to help maintain a cholesterol level that is already normal.
In a clinical study, policosanol did not have a direct effect on the activity of the enzyme HMG-CoA Reductase. Policosanol promoted LDL cholesterol binding, processing and degradation in the liver. It is proposed by researchers that policosanol may work in the liver at an earlier step in the cholesterol synthesis pathway. The exact mechanism is not fully understood.
However, we do know that Policosanol does not directly inhibit the same enzyme in the liver that statins work on, and is gaining recognition and increased popularity for this reason, especially as people turn to supplement use to seek new, safe solutions to better their health and longevity. Many clinical trials to determine the efficacy of policosanol compared policosanol with low-dose statin drugs.

Another reason omega 3 fatty acids are good for you:
Large amount of inflammation in the body is reported to make existing tumors grow. Large amounts of inflammation in the body is linked to diabetes, and increased age, illness, cardiovascular and brain health problems. The harmful role that excess inflammation plays in the body is becoming more clear as more and more clinical studies are published.
Due to this information, it appears that balancing the body’s natural inflammatory response with supplements that encourage the body to produce less inflammation rather than more inflammation would be good for our health.
Can controlling the amount of inflammation in the body be good for us?

Diet can affect the body’s inflammatory response. The types and amounts of fats consumed, can make the body very inflammatory or less inflammatory. This may be one reason why omega-3 fatty acid intake has been found in clinical studies to be so good for such a diverse groups of people with various health concerns. This also may be why omega-3 fats are so important to the balance of fats in the diet. The good fats, called omega-3 fatty acids, help balance the body’s normal inflammatory response caused by some of the foods in the diet. Res-Q 1250 contains the proper balance of omega-3 fatty acids called EPA and DHA to promote good cardiovascular health. Res-Q 1250 may be used to help supplement the diet lacking omega-3 fatty acids in sufficient quantities to achieve the proper balance of fats. Blood levels of homocysteine are related to blood levels of Vitamin B12 and Folate. One Serving (3 caplets) of Res-Q Multi contains 800 micrograms of folic acid and 500mcg of Vitamin B12 in order to provide the right amount to help maintain a healthy homocysteine level. The amounts of folic acid, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12 in Res-Q’s multivitamin are safe levels that do not exceed the upper limits for safe, vitamin intake-levels. If the percentages of daily value are greater than or equal to 100%, it means that the supplement meets the minimum daily requirements for that vitamin needed to prevent disease realted to vitamin deficiency. If the percentage is less than 100%, it does not contain enough of that vitamin to meet daily requirements. The RDA is NOT a maximum intake level. View Label Below:
Do vitamin deficiencies increase your risk of disease?
Maintaining a healthy homocysteine level may improve the health of your cardiovascular system.
A meta-analysis of clinical studies involving 1,114 people and 12 trials, revealed that taking folic acid supplements containing at least .5 milligrams (500 micrograms) and adding a similar amount of Vitamin B12 can reduce homocysteine levels by at least 25%.
Based on the evidence presented in these studies, this amount of reduction in homocysteine would reduce the average homocysteine level of the Western diet enough to improve cardiovascular health mortality rates and have an impact on the well being of the population. This is the reason for the amounts of folic acid and Vitamin B12 that we have included in the Res-Q Multi.
Some people supplement their diet with a multivitamin to ensure their needs are met. Res-Q Multi is a multivitamin specifically formulated to meet both cardiovascular health and general health needs.
How much folic acid and Vitamin B12 do you obtain everyday from your daily diet?

Is elevated cholesterol the only thing that can harm arteries?

According to the British Medical Journal, studies now show a connection with arterial health problems and elevated blood homocysteine.
The American Heart Association also has information on homocysteine. Many medical journals now have information and studies on homocysetine.
However, in 1969, when Dr. McCully first suggested that homocysteine may be a new cause of heart disease, he was shunned, just as new original ideas often are. Now more studies have emerged and we can now see that certain vitamins play an important role in promoting healthy arteries and a healthy cardiovascular system by helping the metabolism of homocysteine, “a new possible cause of heart disease.” (more…)

Are omega-3 fatty acids a good supplement to take for stress relief?
The omega-3 fatty acid DHA has been shown in human studies to help with the effects of stress. Stress causes changes to take place including aggression and hostility and the omega-3 fatty acid called DHA, a good fat found in fish oils, helped combat some of these changes. Those who took 1.5 grams of DHA daily for 6 weeks had a much better response to stress than those who did not receive any treatment at all. Do the good fats, such as omega-3’s, help us cope with stress better?
Further clinical studies show that consumption of fish oils containing DHA help counteract the increased production of inflammation, and a fight or flight stress hormone that occurs when under stress.
Is this just one more reason that we need to restore the right balance of fats in our diet for better health and function? (more…)

Valerian – A natural solution for sleep
Sleep quality was observed by “poor sleepers” or those who normally take a long time to fall asleep. Valerian’s ability to help calm and relax, an important thing to do before sleep, makes Valerian’s use for herbal support on occasional sleepless nights, a practical one.
Valerian, a natural herb, is commonly used. Valerian is commonly used today, and in the past.
Valerian has a long history of use in the natural community. Valerian was used in ancient Greece, and was in use during the second century to help promote sleep. According to the 2002 Alternative Health/Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Supplement to the National Health Interview Survey published by the journal Sleep, “Large segments of the United States population used valerian or melatonin…” Almost 30% of the people taking valerian were using valerian for sleep.
