Antioxidants Support the Brain
Antioxidants may help maintain brain health and help prevent mild memory loss associated with the natural process of aging. In fact, potent antioxidants and omega-3’s are important natural components of the diet that help maintain brain health throughout the lifespan.
Overproduction of free radicals can cause damage to the brain. For example, when imbalances occur between free radicals and the body’s ability to neutralize them, good health can be in danger! (more…)

Green Tea Photo taken at United States Botanic Garden
The entire body is made up of cells and these cells need antioxidants for optimal balance. Excess amounts of free radicals can harm cells. Neutralizing multiple types of free radicals promotes better cell health and arterial health.
The antioxidants in green tea promote good health by neutralizing free radicals. Green tea is very effective at neutralizing hydroxyl radicals, harmful free radicals. Green tea binds with hydroxyl radicals thus neutralizing them. Green tea also helps inhibit the formation of free radicals.
The leaves of green tea contain beneficial active constituents called polyphenols, phytochemicals with antioxidant benefits. Phytochemicals are beneficial compounds present in plants, vegetables and fruits. One of the most well-known active constituents in green tea is EGCG, also called epigallocatechin-3-gallate, a polyphenol present in green tea leaves.

A few of the beneficial components of pomegranate include: ellagic acid, punicic acid, flavonoids, anthocyanidins, anthocyanins, flavonols and flavones. Ellagic acid is a popular active constituent of pomegranate that provides antioxidant action and cell health benefits.
The powerful antioxidant action of pomegranate may be synergistic. The health benefits of pomegranate are not attributed to any single component of the fruit. It is believed that the health benefits are attributed to the multiple, natural properties of the pomegranate fruit working together. (more…)

Acai berry contains potent antioxidants.
The Acai berry contains potent and powerful antioxidants! Acai as a fruit scored higher than other fruits on the ORAC test, a measure of how well the antioxidants perform. Acai scored higher than various kinds of Goji berries, black berries, raspberries, cranberries, plums, pears, mangos, strawberries, cherries, apricots, kiwi, melons, peaches, pineapples, oranges, and apples.
The Acai berry fruit extract is an extract of the Acai berry, a fruit derived from a large palm tree that can be found at the Amazon river in South America. The Acai berry contains a wide variety of antioxidants and is effective at neutralizing various types of free radicals. The polyphenols present in Acai berry include anthocyanins, tannins, proanthocyanidins, and flavanoids. Acai berry performed well on peroxyl, peroxynitrite, and superoxide radicals. The wide variety of antioxidants present in the Acai berry may account for the superior performance of the Acai berry. (more…)

Acai berry extract is derived from the the fruit of the Acai palm tree (also called Euterpe oleraceae). As an antioxidant, the
Acai berry was shown to perform well in numerous tests, and found to have extremely high scavenging capacity against numerous types of free radicals.
Acai berry scored the highest of any fruit or vegetable to date on the “superoxide scavenging assay.” On another efficacy test,
Acai also scored the highest of any food reported to date for “peroxyl radical” scavenging.
The Acai berry was shown in clinical studies to be effective at fighting numerous types of free radicals which can lead to damage to the brain, the arteries, and healthy cells. Since antioxidants help in the fight against free radicals by neutralizing them, antioxidants are ideal for maintaining and enhancing good health. (more…)

Smoking increases risk of Alzheimer’s disease
Antioxidants can help us live longer. Everyone can benefit from antioxidants, but if you are a smoker, it may be even more important to take antioxidants. It was recently reported that older adults who smoke have an increased risk of getting Alzheimer’s disease. Of course, quitting smoking would be the best thing to do.
Free radicals harm the brain
Clinical studies on Alzheimer’s disease show a connection between free radicals and Alzheimer’s disease. Free radicals, which are by-products of normal bodily processes, can be harmful in excess quantities. Free radicals can be triggered by pollution and smoking.
Smoking triggers excess free-radical production.
Free radicals attack cells. The attacked cells attack more cells causing a chain reaction of damage to the body. This happens because free radicals are missing an electron and steal electrons from other atoms, then those atoms are missing electrons. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by lending an electron or by otherwise stabilizing the free radicals so the free radical does not harm the body.
Modern diets lack antioxidants
Diets lacking sufficient fruits and vegetables may lack antioxidants. Supplementing the diet with antioxidants can benefit health and increase longevity. Studies show that using multiple antioxidants works better than using just one antioxidant. Studies show that antioxidants can help maintain a healthy brain.
Antioxidants help maintain a healthy brain
One of our best antioxidant products is Res-Q CellPower. Another great antioxidant product that helps protect the brain from free radicals is Res-Q Resveratrol. Research shows that using the ingredients in both products together would produce maximum benefits for the health of the brain. Res-Q Multi, our heart healthy multivitamin, contains vitamins, minerals, heart-healthy ingredients, and a variety of antioxidants also.

Which is more harmful “cholesterol” or “oxidized cholesterol” ?
Antioxidants help inhibit the oxidation process which makes cholesterol harmful to the arteries. In fact, the medical reports that the doctors read, report that oxidative stress has been linked to arteriosclerosis in postmenopausal women. The importance of antioxidants for heart and cholesterol health can not be underestimated.
Everyone worries about their cholesterol number, their LDL cholesterol number, since research established an association with LDL cholesterol levels that are elevated, much higher than normal, and increased risk of cardiovascular heart health risks. (more…)

Antioxidants promote cell health by neutralizing free radicals. Antioxidants are important to the health of the cells in our body and everyone needs antioxidants for health balance. Antioxidants also help maintain healthy arteries, and are important to those on a cholesterol control program or anyone interested in heart health. Healthy arteries are the means of supplying blood flow to the heart and keeping arteries in their already healthy condition is so important to continual heart-health care.
Res-Q CellPower is an excellent antioxidant supplement. Res-Q CellPower helps maintain healthy arteries, promotes cardiovascular health and contains Co-Q10 which is also utilized for energy production within the “power-plant” of the cell. Res-Q Mega Acai will help enhance these heart-healthy benefits by neutralizing multiple kinds of free radicals and may be used with Res-Q CellPower. For more information about Res-Q CellPower, please contact a Res-Q consultant by calling toll free 1-800-26-ALIVE.
