I have been trying to get my triglyceride and bad cholesterol levels down for twenty years to no avail. I’ve taken all the latest meds for this and all they did was burn my stomach and harm my liver. I’ve had surgery for carotid arteries and also have a nylon aorta down the front of me. I was diagnosed in 1990 with fibromyalgia and have eaten hydro-codeine for years for pain. So, I consider myself the bionic woman at age 70!!

Six months ago I had a blood test that showed the above levels at 704 and 356. My doctor prescribed more meds. I learned about how Res-Q products were helping people and knew many of these people. So, I started taking Res-Q 1250, red yeast capsules; Orosine, CellPower and now Resveratrol.

Two weeks ago I had new blood work done. My levels have changed so much I thought I had someone else’s report. They are now 242 and 240.

In six months!!!! I have lost 28 lbs. I am very seldom taking pain medication. I look better and cannot begin to say how much more energy I have. My children and friends mention how “changed” I am these days.

Thank you very much for your wonderful products. Just think; people my age should try some of these products and extend their lives!!

Sincerely,

Hi Tom.

My wife and I started Res-Q 1250 two weeks ago, and WOW! Our pain is all but gone. My wife had so much pain in her wrist she could not use her keyboard for more than a few minutes at a time before the tears. We both suffered pains in neck and back. Eat pain pills like candy. This past week we realized we had not touched the bottle of pain pills, and we are pain free.

Thank you Tom…wished we had listened to you months ago about this amazing product.

To N3 Oceanic (makers of the heart-healthy Res-Q products and owners of nature’s shield)

I had been having angina pains in my chest for at least two years when my wife telephoned me one day in late July of 2002. She had heard a radio broadcast on channel AM 1210 in Philadelphia, where a doctor had been recommending Res-Q 1250 to help protect one’s heart.

I thought that since my late father had died of heart disease at the age of 72, and had been having angina pain for many years and was taking digitals medication for several years, that I, who was at that time 57 years old, should try Res-Q 1250, to see if I could reduce my chest pain and reduce my cholesterol.

My bad cholesterol at that time was over 300. I immediately placed an order for several bottles of the product to see if it could help me. I was not on any medication for the angina pain at that time. After taking Res-Q 1250 for several months I had my cholesterol checked again at the laboratory and I had reduced my cholesterol 100 points, to the 200 level.

Most importantly, I had almost completely stopped having angina pains in my chest. I have taken Res-Q 1250 each day ever since. I also have been taking Natural Wellness Formula’s L-D-L less, and other products to keep my heart healthy. I am now 66 years old and I am much healthier than many of my friends, who are about the same age as I am. My wife and youngest daughter have been taking Res-Q 1250, right along with me. Many years ago I decided that the statins drugs were not me and refused to even consider taking them. Thank you, N3 Oceanic, for making a fine product.

To: Jennifer Lynn

I made sure that I emailed you as soon as I got home. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Before taking Res-Q 1250 and LDLless, triglycerides were 102, total cholesterol was 237, HDL was 47 and LDL was 170.

Since talking to you June 25th, I have been taking three Res-Q 1250 capsules in AM and at bed and two L-D-L less capsules 2 hours after breakfast and another two at bedtime. Here are the results from the blood test for lipids for this morning, July 22nd: triglycerides 43, total cholesterol 133, HDL 52 and LDL 72.

Your products are amazing!!!

Unbelievable.

Thank you again.

If you’ve recently listened to me on the Res-Q HealthLine radio shows, I recently indicated that there were four silent killers. But now, due to expanded research and more and more problems coming through my centers in New York, I have expanded them to eight.

First of all, what is meant by a silent killer? Well, it’s simple. It’s something you don’t feel until a heart attack occurs, or until you fracture a bone, or you have a stroke. These silent killers include:

High blood pressure: Many times you could have a blood pressure of 200 and you don’t feel it.

High cholesterol and triglycerides: There’s typically no pain in the arteries. Unless you get your lipids checked, you’re not going to realize that your arteries are clogging up.

Inflammation: Inflammation is the backbone of pathophysiology for cardiovascular disease and aging, which is very prevalent in Western culture. It can be anything from a swollen toe to inflamed arteries, the latter of which you cannot feel.

Oxidative stress: Damage from free radicals and oxidative stress is when the body’s antioxidant system becomes overwhelmed. Oxidative stress accelerates the aging process.

Blood glucose: Another silent killer is blood glucose. Many people are coming into my office with 200-300 blood-sugar levels. They don’t feel a thing. But they are pre-diabetic or diabetic and they have been doing damage to their bodies for many years before they even realize it. High blood-glucose levels can not only lead to diabetes, but also eye disease, blindness, kidney disease, nerve disease or death.

Glycation: (sometimes called non-enzymatic glycosylation) is something that accelerates heart disease, cellular damage and aging, and it is simply a problem with glucose that adheres to proteins lipids and DNA to create something called “Advanced Glycation End Product” (AGE)

Telomere shortening: Telomeres are the tips of chromosomes and when they shorten you have progressive aging. What happens to accelerate this aging process is inflammation and oxidative stress.

Osteoporosis: Osteoporosis is a bone disease that leads to an increased risk of fracture. It is another silent killer simply because you don’t feel your bones weakening until you’ve lost four inches of height.

What can we do to prevent these silent killers from leading us into cardiovascular disease, heart attack, stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and accelerated aging? Well, I developed a protocol in my Centers based on the following:

Diet: a modified, low-carbohydrate Mediterranean diet

Exercise: Any exercise is good; cross training is the best, which is when you do a combination of resistance training with aerobics.

Stress reduction: Stress reduction is critical. It’s one of the leading factors that influence degenerative diseases and especially cardiovascular disease.

Supplements: The right supplements can combat high triglycerides, high cholesterol, high blood pressure oxidative damage, high blood sugar, arthritis, weight reduction, diabetes, fatigue, and basically all of the degenerative and cardiovascular problems.

Pharmaceuticals: Medical drugs are prescribed when necessary.

Prevention Through Supplements & Nutrition
Years ago, I developed a program called Cardio Nutrition, and that is simply a program, along with diet and exercise, in which we use supplements. Here’s a list of some of the “silent killers” and what Res-Q products will work best to combat them.

High Cholesterol/Triglycerides:

L-D-L less (red yeast rice)

Res-Q LDLx2 (polycosanol) with or without niacin

Res-Q 1250, which is primarily a triglyceride-lowering agent

Res-Q Land ’n’ Sea Fiber is excellent for lowering lipids

Res-Q Multi, as it has 300 milligrams of garlic

Res-Q HDL+ (raises your good cholesterol)

When it comes to cholesterol we also worry about the oxidative damage and we have a number of antioxidants including Res-Q Multi, Res-Q CellPower (CoQ10), Res-Q Resveratrol, Nature’s Shield Superfoods and Nature’s Shield Leg & Vein Support, which all protect the LDL against oxidative damage.

Hypertension/ High Blood Pressure:

Res-Q Multi vitamin, which has taurine, hawthorn berry, garlic and L-carnitine

Last week, I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Oz Garcia, on nutrition, taking supplements and living forever. Oz is the world’s leading authority on healthy aging. As “nutritionist to the stars,” Oz is the go-to nutritionist for A-List celebrities and Fortune 100 CEOs. His unique and customized approach to nutrition and anti-aging coupled with more than thiry years of experience has made Oz one of the most recognizable names in the industry. He has lectured all over the world and has been a pioneer in the study of nutrition and anti-aging. He is also bestselling author of three books: The Balance, Look and Feel Fabulous Forever and Redesigning 50–The No-Plastic-Surgery Guide to 21st-Century Age Defiance (HarperCollins).

1. How did you get started in nutrition, and what made you so sure this is what you wanted to do?

Thirty-five years ago, when I was in my early 20s, I was a fashion photographer in Manhattan living an incredibly fast-paced lifestyle. Like many people, I smoked cigarettes, drank too much caffeine, ate too much sugar and didn’t get enough sleep. I found myself having terrible migraine headaches. I knew it was imperative for me to take an active role in my own health, and began exploring nutrition in an attempt to get these headaches under control. I discovered detoxification, learned the basics, and followed a program that included eliminating my intake of sugar, fast foods, caffeine and smoking. To my surprise, everything worked. I’ve continued to pursue a career in nutrition ever since.

2. As “nutritionist to the stars,” tell us what a typical client of yours is looking to accomplish.

My clients are typically very educated and want to be in the best health possible. It’s not so much about just one thing like weight loss. It’s learning to maintain the best quality of life through diet, stress management and lifestyle modification.

3. Can you give me your thoughts on “longevity”? Is anti-aging possible, especially with the amount of stress, cancer and obesity in today’s world?

Today’s world of course makes “longevity” a little more challenging, but it’s about making the right choices given our circumstances. You can’t necessarily control your external environment, but you do have control over what you put into your body.

4. Diet and exercise are keys to better health. But what are three of the most influential product supplements you recommend to your clients?

Orosine, fish oil, probiotics and vitamin D.

5. Can you tell us why you chose to add Res-Q Orosine to your catalog of recommended products?

Res-Q Orosine has many benefits, but in particular I would note: one, enhanced cellular repair and regeneration as it provides the necessary ingredients for RNA/DNA generation; two, increased stamina and energy through ATP production; and three, enhanced cardiac function through increased circulation and oxygen delivery.

6. To whom would you typically recommend Res-Q Orosine? In other words, what type of client might benefit the most from Res-Q Orosine?

There is really no one who wouldn’t benefit, but I absolutely would recommend it to anyone in an exercise program, as well as anyone with fatigue or blood-pressure concerns.

7. Can you give us an example or an actual testimonial from one of your clients, of what they thought of Res-Q Orosine and how it benefited them?

I have personally seen improved blood-pressure levels and higher energy output with regular use of Res-Q Orosine. In the exercise area, the workouts could be extended for more reps, at higher intensity levels and with quicker recovery times.

8. What is the average age of your clients?

My clients’ ages range from 30 to over 60 years old, and all of them can benefit from Res-Q Orosine. Actually, the majority of them do.

9. Can anyone, at any age, take Res-Q Orosine? Yes. Maybe I should ask, does Res-Q Orosine help to slow the process of aging?

Res- Q Orosine helps combat inflammation, which is one of the biggest contributors of premature aging. By replenishing the ingredients necessary for ATP production and RNA/DNA regeneration, the cellular regeneration process is enhanced.

10. Thank you for this interview, and one last question: With all the recent attacks on “too-much hyped” vitamin supplements (Harper’s Bazaar, Oct. 2011), what are your thoughts? Do you take any supplements yourself and believe in their potential to offer increased wellness?

I am a big advocate of supplementation because it is very difficult to get complete proper nutrition through diet alone. Personally, I take and recommend that all my clients take Orosine, fish oil, probiotics, digestive enzymes, vitamin D and coenzyme Q10 on a daily basis and so should you.

Suggested Res-Q Products:

Res-Q Orosine is a dietary supplement that helps maintain a healthy heart by encouraging repair processes on a cellular level, such as the muscle cells of the heart. Res-Q Orosine supports the heart’s ability to pump blood, helps maintain a healthy heart rhythm and encourages oxygen in cardiac and skeletal muscles subject to overload.

Res-Q 1250 is intended to supplement the diet to provide the proper balance of healthy fats for maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system. Res-Q 1250 is a direct source of EPA and DHA, the essential omega-3 fatty acids. Most fish oils contain very little EPA and DHA; as a result, these low-grade fish oils fail to produce condition-specific omega-3 health benefits such as cholesterol wellness.

Our newest Res-Q product, Res-Q 1250+, is a high-DHA omega-3 supplement with vitamin D3. Res-Q 1250+ is intended for general long-term health maintenance and provides the combined health benefits of omega-3 and vitamin D: bone health, circulation, a healthy heart, skin and eyes, and support for the immune system, brain and central nervous system.

In observance of National Diabetes Month, we thought it might be fun to share some of our favorite customer comments on the benefits of Res-Q 105 MAX.

Tom from Richboro, PA: Res-Q 105MAX has done wonders for my wife’s blood sugar. It brought it down to a more comfortable place and helped her meet her objective of blood sugar at 100. We take Res-Q 1250 and Res-Q Multi and both have cholesterol and triglycerides that improved significantly. We’ve been taking them for years. Plus we just feel better all the time.

Dan from San Antonio, TX: As a personal testimony, when I was first diagnosed with diabetes in January 2008, my A1C was 12. I was losing lots of weight, but eating like a pig and drinking loads of ice water. They attempted to put me on Metformin and it caused me to become dehydrated and very ill. My wife researched and learned the benefits of Res-Q 1250 and Res-Q 105MAX, and put me on a strict regimen of these supplements and a stringent exercise program. After six months, my levels dropped back to an A1C of 7. My last visit to the doctor, I was a 7.2 but because I had been misbehaving- letting go of the rigorous exercise and not taking the Res-Q anymore. Lately, I’m back to taking it, but merely once or twice a day and my exercise is moderate. As a note, my doctor was astounded at how my A1C was able to drop. He said it was unheard of to drop that quickly. Thanks for the info… and thank you Res-Q! For the record I remain off meds…

Ruth C. from Burlington, NJ: I take Res-Q 105MAX and I have noticed a difference with my glucose levels. I have not had an elevation in my levels or any side effects since taking Res-Q 105MAX along with my insulin. My doctor is pleased with my level, which allows me to not have to take so many medications. I am very pleased with Res-Q 105MAX!

Patrick S. from San Antonio, TX: I am considered borderline diabetic and the doctor wanted me to start taking medication. I watch my diet and started taking Res-Q 105 MAX and it has helped me. My blood sugar is an average of 101 and I am very pleased with it. I also take many Res-Q products such as Res-Q 1250, Res-Q Multi, Res-Q Fiber and Res-Q CellPower. I have been taking many of your products for about 4 or 5 years now and I depend on them.

P. Lind from Zionsville, PA: I am getting great results taking Res-Q 105 MAX! My doctor is very happy with how all your products are working for me.

M Cherry from Sicklerville, NJ: Res-Q 105 MAX has saved my life! For years I was trying to lose weight and I tried everything! The doctor told me I have Wilson’s Syndrome, Cushings Disease, and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. Since November of 2007 I have been taking your Res-Q 1250 and Res-Q 105 MAX and not only have I gotten excellent results on my blood work, I also have lost 54 pounds! I thank Res-Q 105 for that. I am very excited and I am telling my friends about it. I even have family members taking your products already!

T. Coutts from Dana Point, CA: My husband and I both take Res-Q 1250 and we love our results! My cholesterol is doing great. Since starting Res-Q 105 MAX for a little over a month, my insulin resistance number has gone down and I think this is wonderful! It is down to 9.7. My doctor is very pleased with my results. I had never seen her smile before!

R. Taddei, Yardley, PA: I just turned 70 and I have had some serious heart problems and surgery about 2 years ago. Since then I started taking many of your Res-Q products. I especially like Res-Q 1250 and Res-Q 105 MAX. Now my cholesterol is great and my doctors are amazed! The one doctor said he has never seen numbers this good. Even my triglycerides have come down. My glucose was borderline high and since I have been taking Res-Q 105 MAX it is has dropped down too! I feel really good and my health is great too.

Res-Q Product of the Week: Res-Q 105 MAX is a safe, all-natural and effective product for pre-diabetics and people with type II diabetes, which lowers blood sugar. Blood sugar, a 6-carbon sugar, requires insulin for entry into cells. Pentose (pumpkin) extract, which is the key ingredient in Res-Q 105 MAX, is a 5-carbon sugar that does not require insulin in order to enter cells to be used for energy. It restrains the burning of fats in the metabolic process that acts to lower blood-sugar levels.

What the Heck Is Selenium?

Selenium

Selenium is one of those wonderful trace minerals that we acquire inadvertently through our food supply. It’s in the dirt. So, the amount of selenium in the soil, on which animals graze or plants grow, determines how much selenium can be found in foods. It’s also one of those minerals we need, as it helps make many body processes work efficiently and it even increases the effectiveness of antioxidants. Certain areas of the globe however, like New Zealand, Finland, parts of China and Africa, and spots in the United States (the Great Lakes, New England, and parts of the Atlantic Coast and Pacific Northwest) have very low levels of selenium.

Foods that Provide Selenium

Brazil nuts have an unusually high amount of selenium (six nuts have almost 800 micrograms of selenium), making them the highest source of this trace mineral. But if too many are consumed every day, they could actually cause toxicity (brittle hair and nails, upset stomach and more). Safer sources of selenium are turkey, beef, chicken breast, seafood and shellfish. Some other dietary sources of selenium are oatmeal, eggs, legumes and whole grains like brown long-grain rice. Refined grains lose their selenium due to processing, but oftentimes are enriched, which simply means that selenium was added back into the grain.

How Much Selenium Do I Need?

The recommended daily allowance for selenium is 55 mcg (Brazil nuts contain 70-90 micrograms per nut, whereas other foods high in selenium generally contain 30-50 micrograms of selenium per serving). Balance is key as too little selenium is very harmful. According to one nutritional health resource: “low selenium levels weaken the immune system and make the body more susceptible to stress and illnesses.” The maximum amount of selenium you need per day is 400 micrograms, which should not be exceeded because too much selenium can be toxic.

Selenium Deficiency

A deficiency in selenium in the US is usually rare, but can occur as a consequence of gastrointestinal disorders. Mild forms of deficiency over a long period of time are associated with high blood pressure, arthritis and even some cancers. However, in order to combat deficiencies, make sure you are getting at least 55 micrograms daily.

Health Benefits of Selenium

Healthy Cells

Selenium helps maintain healthy cells and was shown in some studies to reduce the risk of certain types of cancer. For example, selenium has been shown in studies to reduce the risk of bladder and prostate cancer. Selenium works in the body to protect cells from damage.

Healthy Immune System

Selenium is also excellent for the immune system and in a study, selenium was linked with protection against the flu. In another study on the elderly, supplementing with selenium encouraged white blood cell function.

Healthy Arteries

Selenium has antioxidant properties that may help maintain healthy arteries. Oxidized LDL cholesterol can damage the arteries and oxidative stress may play a role in the progression of coronary arterial disease, a type of heart disease.

What Selenium Does—How It Works in the Body

The Office of Dietary Supplements says, “Selenium is incorporated into proteins to make selenoproteins, which are important antioxidant enzymes. The antioxidant effect of selenoproteins helps prevent cellular damage from free radicals,” which they describe as “natural by-products of oxygen metabolism that may contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as cancer and heart disease.”

Where Can I get Extra Selenium?

That number seems pretty high for omega-3s.” The customer admitted she was used to a much smaller dose and 4-6 caps seemed a little intimidating.

Here was our response:

1-3 capsules, daily:

From studies, 1 gram (1-3 capsules) of omega-3s is sufficient for overall cardiovascular health. In other words, if you are fit and healthy but would like to take omega-3s for prevention of cardiovascular disease, or simply to feel better, 1 gram will do the trick. Three capsules daily can improve overall mood, give you more energy, strengthen hair, nails and eye sight, and may improve signs of ADHD in adults (children may take up to 1 gram, but please consult your physician).

4-6 capsules, daily:

Those who currently suffer with heart disease or other cardiovascular problems like high triglycerides and cholesterol, or who have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease (due to poor diet, family history, etc.), should take 3 grams (4-6 capsules) daily. Only this amount of pure EPA and DHA can reduce inflammation significantly to the point of seeing measurable results. This dosage is called a “pharmaceutical-grade” dosage and has been shown to lower triglycerides, lower total cholesterol and significantly reduce swelling and inflammation due to arthritis and joint pain. And as published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, “Fish oil can have a therapeutic role in the treatment of marked hypertriglyceridemia. Effective doses of omega-3 fatty acids range from 3 to 5 grams daily, which can only be obtained consistently by supplementation.” – AHA Scientific Statement, Circulation, a Journal of the American Heart Association. You would need roughly 12 capsules of other brands of fish oil just to get the same high concentration in Res-Q 1250.

At Res-Q, we strongly suggest 4-6 capsules daily as many of our customers are heart patients, recommended by cardiovascular surgeons and physicians. Through the years, this dosage has proven to work wonders. But don’t believe us. Read what our customers are saying!

So the discovery of probiotics—live (good) bacteria such as those found in yogurt—is nothing short of miraculous when you consider that, when ingested, they provide immediate health benefits to your gut and ultimately, your whole body.

The idea behind ingesting live bacteria came from the discovery that increasing beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract could promote longevity by reducing toxins. Study after study proved this to be true and because of them, science has made it easier for us to participate in the health benefits by creating probiotics.

Understanding Probiotics:

There are many different kinds of probiotics. As published in a newsletter put forth by the National Center for Complementary Medicine, “Most often, they come from two groups of bacteria, lactobacillus or bifidobacterium. Within each group, there are different species (for example, lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium bifidus), and within each species, different strains (or varieties).” Additionally, the Get the Facts publication states that “Effects found from one species or strain of probiotics do not necessarily hold true for others, or even for different preparations of the same species or strain.”

So What Can Probiotics Do For You?

Various strains of probiotics are being investigated for their role in inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, prevention of diarrhea caused by pathogens, sensitivities to allergens and strengthening the immune system. But overall, probiotics protect against disease and help your digestive system absorb food and nutrients more efficiently. Because the digestive system has such a strong, symbiotic relationship with other systems in your body, the value of keeping it healthy is enormous.

Here are several other areas where probiotics, and specifically those that include the strain of bacteria found in Res-Q ProBiotic, may have huge health benefits:

Kidney Stones

Researchers are investigating some probiotics for their role in preventing a certain kind of kidney stone. The specific strain of lactobacillus acidophilus found in Res-Q ProBiotic was shown in a study to degrade oxalate in the gut, which may prove beneficial to those with “increased body burden of oxalate and oxalate-associated disorders.”1

Immune System

Probiotics, vitamins and vaccinations improve immune response. Various strains of probiotics were consumed after vaccination and the strains tested produced a “faster response to the vaccination”2 and the strain of lactobacillus acidophilus (La-14) used had increased serum IgG. Therefore, the specific strain of lactobacillus acidophilus that is found in Res-Q ProBiotic may be beneficial for health of the immune system.

Gastro Infections

Due to changes in “gut physiology, immune-system reactivity and diet,” older adults are more likely to get sick with “gastrointestinal infections.” The Infectious Diseases Society of America states that the gut microflora provides a “natural defense” against invading microorganisms. Changes in elderly people and surrounding bacteria may contribute to “alterations in bacterial metabolism” that could mean “higher levels of infection.”

Supplementing was shown to help restore the levels of the microflora bifidobacteria that is reduced in older adults.3 A capsule was given with a cold drink twice per day after meals to support travel though the stomach better. The supplement was shown to be effective—making it all the way to the gut—and bacteria levels were replenished.

The strain of bifidobacterium bifidum that was used in this study is the same strain found in Res-Q ProBiotic. Since there are so many different kinds of probiotics, strain identity is very important for researchers who are trying to ascertain from available studies the health benefits of a particular probiotic supplement.

Digestive-Tract Health

The above report also states that probiotic supplements may help prevent various forms of diarrhea that are common to everyone: traveler’s diarrhea, diarrhea caused by antibiotics (which tend to kill bacteria) and diarrhea caused by bacterial, viral or parasitic infection.

Gut microflora, also called intestinal microflora, plays an important role in the digestive tract to help ferment and convert undigested carbohydrates such as lactose, fiber and starch into useful metabolic products that aid the body’s health, its production of B vitamins and nutrient absorption.

Protection Against Evil Bacteria

Not all bacteria have good benefits. Some bacteria in the gut produce toxins, not to mention the various viruses, fungi, harmful bacteria and pathogens that seek to invade and make us sick. Therefore, having a healthy balance of good bacteria (microflora) in the gut can improve health.

In fact, there’s such a thing as the “barrier effect” of gut flora. Good bacteria can provide a barrier to prevent harmful bacteria from taking over the territory and curbing the growth of harmful things like clostridium difficile. One way this takes place is by good bacteria competing for nutrition and attaching to “sites to the epithelium of the colon.” Likewise, good bacteria breeds more good bacteria and less bad bacteria. Therefore, putting good bacteria into the body with probiotic supplements or by eating yogurt every day may keep you well, promote longevity and aid digestion.

Sure, there are a gazillion psychological and emotional advantages to communing with the one you love, but preventing cancer? Quite possibly.

New research indicates that, “Epidemiologic studies have suggested that men with a higher frequency of ejaculations may have a slightly lower risk of prostate cancer.”

But don’t go getting too turned on by the news—other smaller studies have determined the opposite. And yet, we’d like to think that the bigger study (29,000 men were interviewed in the study that claimed to lower risk of prostate cancer) outweighs the smaller one (a few hundred men).

Whatever the case may be, the more important factor of frequent sex in regard to prostate cancer and health is to avoid STDs and sexually transmitted infections. “…if sex reduces risk of prostate cancer, it’s only protective if men avoid sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Many studies show that a history of STIs, especially gonorrhea and syphilis, approximately doubles prostate cancer risk.”1

Sex aside, there are other factors that may reduce the risks of prostate cancer: exercising, eating tomatoes (they have high amounts of lycopene), pumpkin seeds and fish, taking fish-oil supplements, reducing trans-fats and adding loads of healthy antioxidants to your diet (in the form of fruits and veggies). Mens Health Magazine has some great resources on diet and fitness. And the National Cancer Institute suggests that to prevent certain cancers avoid risk factors like being overweight, smoking, drinking excessively and lack of exercise.

Natural herbs, supplements and remedies have also been found to support the prostate, such as saw palmetto, wildberries, green tea leaf, beta-sitosterol (a plant sterol, used for both enlarged prostate and menopause), vitamins A and E, zinc and selenium (a trace mineral in the human body, which acts as an antioxidant). All of these ingredients can be found in Res-Q Super Prostate Health, which is formulated to improve the symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate—urinary flow, urinary volume and frequent need for urination.

So, whether you are worried about an enlarged prostate or prostate cancer, it’s important to assess your lifestyle. Always remember: There is a huge relationship between lifestyle, food consumption and cancer prevention. The better life choices you make, the better chance you stand of avoiding complications down the road.

In order to produce a pure omega-3 supplement, Res-Q 1250’s oil undergoes an extensive purification process to ensure that the harmful mercury and other environmental pollutants that are known to exist in fish in harmful levels are removed. Furthermore, to ensure a pure omega-3 supplement, the product is tested to ensure that it meets manufacturing specifications.

Fish may contain mercury and other harmful pollutants which is a concern when eating fish. Res-Q 1250 undergoes an exceptional multi-step purification process to ensure removal of the harmful levels of these pollutants. The proprietary technology of our purification process ensures that the strictest testing specifications for heavy metals, environmental contaminants and oxidative impurities are met. You have to be careful. Warnings have been issued by health agencies that not all fish oils conform with the industry guidelines, and some oils may contain the same levels of mercury as fresh fish.

Res-Q 1250 meets and exceeds fish oil industry standards for purity. A pure omega-3 supplement needs to meet manufacturing specifications for environmental pollutants to ensure purity. Res-Q 1250 meets exceptional manufacturing standards for purity, meeting current legislation standards of both European and American industry standards as well as Global standards.

Furthermore, Res-Q 1250, a pure omega-3 supplement, meets exceptionally high quality standards for purification of fish oils as adopted by the council for responsible nutrition which are: PCB’s are less than .09 mg/kg, lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic are less than .1mg/kg (ppm). This is a good test reading for an omega-3 supplement. Res-Q 1250, a pure omega-3 supplement, exceeds the mercury testing standards of max .1 ppm, meaning less than one tenth of one part per million. One part per million is a unit of proportion equal to 10-6 or .000001. The mercury test means that it is very safe, pure omega-3 supplement that is free of the harmful levels of mercury found in fish, and that you hear about on the news. Res-Q’s mercury test is truly the best!

High cholesterol leads to heart disease. In fact, high cholesterol is a major risk factor for heart disease and the higher your cholesterol is, the greater your chance of developing atherosclerosis, fatty deposits formed from cholesterol that collect in the arteries and restrict blood flow. According to the American Heart Association, “As blood cholesterol rises, so does risk of coronary heart disease.”

However, this major risk factor is a risk factor that you have the power to change!

Here are some additional steps that you can follow to make the changes:

First of all, you can see your physician for a health assessment and a treatment plan. In addition to a cholesterol test, your doctor can perform tests that reveal the amount of atherosclerotic plaque (fatty build-up) in the arteries, which can then, in turn, help your doctor, set a treatment plan for you.

For example, your doctor may suggest staying away from foods high in saturated fat (meats and some oils) and trans-fat (like store-bought cookies, cakes and crackers), which is very bad for you as it raises your LDL cholesterol.

Secondly, your doctor may suggest adding healthier foods to your diet. What are the top five cholesterol-lowering foods? According to the Mayo Clinic: oatmeal and oat bran, walnuts and almonds, olive oil, fish and omega-3 fatty acids, and foods and supplements fortified with plant sterols.

Maintaining a cholesterol number that is within the normal range is not always easy, and can be very challenging, especially with all of the dietary temptations. But it’s essential to the prevention of heart disease. Talk to your doctor today for more information about how you can lower your bad cholesterol and raise your good!

And remember: Res-Q products are unique, heart-healthy dietary supplements that have helped thousands of people maintain a healthy cholesterol level while effectively reducing triglyceride levels. In fact, we really haven’t seen anything more effective at lowering triglycerides than Res-Q 1250, which may be why so many people recommend it to their friends. Therefore, Res-Q 1250 is our primary product for cholesterol health.

Res-Q LDL-x2 With Niacin should be used along with Res-Q 1250. Res-Q LDL-x2 With Niacin, contains an ingredient that has been shown to lower LDL cholesterol levels. Furthermore, unlike a lot of other cholesterol products that only work in the liver, Res-Q LDL-x2 also addresses dietary cholesterol! In the digestive tract, Res-Q LDL-x2 inhibits the absorption of cholesterol thereby providing extra support with those day-to-day dietary temptations. Res-Q LDL-x2 is now available with or without no-flush niacin.

Res-Q HDL+ is a no-flush niacin supplement that is formulated to workwith Res-Q 1250 and Res-Q LDL-x2 With Niacin for enhanced cholesterol well-being. Res-Q HDL+ helps provide optimal levels of niacin to yield an even greater cholesterol-health benefit. Taking additional niacin along with Res-Q LDL-x2 With Niacin can help provide optimal levels of niacin for greater cholesterol health.

Res-Q Land ‘n’ Sea Fiber is a supportive product for cholesterol health. Res-Q Land ‘n’ Sea Fiber contains pysllium, a wonderful fiber reported to lower LDL cholesterol. Psyllium is a wonderful source of soluble fiber that the FDA has recognized for its ability to lower LDL cholesterol when used along with dietary modifications.

We recommend that you review all supplements with your physician prior to use. Any questions regarding a medical disorder or prescription medications should be directed to the physician.
