Hugh Douglas, retired NFL Defensive End, made a visit to the Souderton High School to shoot several TV commercials for N3 Oceanic of Palm, PA. The commercials were filmed in one of the high school’s locker rooms amid helmets, shoulder pads, jerseys and other football paraphernalia. Fred Pello, N3 company president said that Mr. Douglas was there to endorse several Res-Q products marketed by N3 Oceanic. Mr. Pello added that Hugh Douglas is a spokesperson for the company’s products which include an innovative line of proprietary cardio supplements, products for inflammation, joint pain, blood sugar maintenance, digestion and more. Douglas spent several hours filming in the locker room and then made a surprise visit to the weight room where the Souderton football team and coaches were training. Mr. Douglas spent time with the coaches and players discussing football and even gave some pointers to the team on exercise and staying in shape for the long run.
Hugh Douglas is a former defensive end in the NFL. His playing career included stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars. After his retirement his love for the Eagles gained him a position in their front office as an “Eagles Good Will Ambassador”. In his first season in 1995, Douglas was named Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press. Hugh Douglas is very vocal about his love of the Philadelphia Eagles where he is ranked third behind Reggie White (124) and Clyde Simmons (76.5) on the Eagles' all-time sack list with 54.5 during his six seasons. Hugh Douglas was easily identified throughout his pro career by a four-point stance. Douglas is passionate about spreading his love for the game with young players such as the Souderton Football Team.
Hugh Douglas resides in the Philadelphia area and is an on-camera reporter with WTXF-TV, Fox 29 in Philadelphia; he is also a regular personality on Sports Radio 610AM WIP.
